AI/ML Job Market in 2025: Who's Actively Hiring

A summary of companies aggressively hiring in AI/ML and active job opportunities.

The tech job market has drastically shifted in recent years. When I graduated, landing a FAANG job was the dream for every working professional. I’d argue landing a job in AI is the modern equivalent.

The AI/ML Job Market Right Now

Tech companies across industries are aggressively hiring AI/ML engineers, researchers, and data scientists.

If you're able to transfer internally to an AI team at your current company, I highly recommend this path. This will allow you to easily give AI/ML a trial run without having to fully commit to a new company.

If this isn’t an option, then you may have to resort to the job market.

After browsing countless job boards, speaking with colleagues who are currently interviewing, and reading in-depth discussion forums, I’ve narrowed the companies I’d be targeting if I were interviewing right now.

Here is a curated list of companies currently hiring engineers in AI:

These are undoubtedly some of the top companies in AI, and landing a job at any of them is extremely competitive.

This list isn’t exhaustive or necessarily realistic for everyone. However, it gives us a reference point to build our candidate profile and set a target.

I’d highly recommend browsing job postings from these companies and reverse engineering your resume, skillset, and behavioral stories.
