The section describing what AI/ML engineers do isn't clear. There are a few contradictions (i.e. saying they don't train models and that it can be one of their responsibilities and also saying "unlike ML engineers, AI/ML engineers") that make it confusing. The general premise that AI engineers work at the intersection of software engineering and AI is right. This is a tough section to write, though, as the job is evolving and the roles can be vague.
In your view, are AI/ML engineers going to be much more sought after than commercial folk that implement AI within businesses to drive EBITDA growth? In my view the latter is not particularly hard but it’s often those alley-oops type roles that really benefit.
